Waihee Ridge Trail

One of our favorite Maui hikes. Three miles uphill but when you get to the top you can stand on a picnic table and see the horizon in every direction.

Up there it’s hard to believe that this is just a dot on a map. Just one small valley on one small island in the middle of the ocean. Because when you stand still and smell the air and feel the sun and hear the birds it’s so easy to get lost in the immensity of it all. To feel, just for a moment, that this is all there is.
